Why I founded Regenera Luxury — and where my role ends.
The challenge
Regenerative language was spreading through luxury hospitality without a shared definition, a way to measure it or anyone independent to verify it. The properties with most at stake — small, independent, often remote — had the least access to the tools.
The response
In 2022 I founded a non-profit civil association in Playa del Carmen, Mexico, to work with communities and destinations — especially places whose cultural heritage is as singular as their landscape. Regenera Luxury grew from it, later incorporated as a company in the United States, to build the definition, standard, measurement platform and independent verification that regenerative luxury needs.

This site carries my own perspective. Regenera Luxury’s methodology, criteria and certification decisions are institutional, developed with its team and applied through accredited auditors. Where the two differ, Regenera Luxury’s published documents prevail.
